The Brazilian Giant Whiteknee Tarantula - Acanthoscurria geniculata
Hello everybody! I have a newly acquired Acanthoscurria geniculata or popularly known as the Brazilian Giant Whiteknee Tarantula. I bought it at a cheaper price from a quitting tarantula owner. It has a 4 inches legspan but it is still a juvenile tarantula. It is native to Brazil and it is called the Brazilian Giant Whiteknee because it has a color white banded pattern in the mid portion of its each leg. This specie can reach a maximum leg span of 8-9 inches when fully mature. It's also a female and that's why I am very happy that I bought it way too cheaper than its standard value.
